Why to have a travel in Italy..and why
just in Tuscany?
There are so many reasons ..that it's impossible to speack
about each one ,but...we'll try to show you someone
You'll find a lot of cities of art as Firenze ,Pisa, Arezzo
,Lucca, Carrara and so on
Or ,if you prefear, a lot of little medioeval towns, where
make a step in the past
Tuscany had passed through so many storical events ,that you
can find a memory everywhere you'll go
Etruscan tombs, roman ruines, medioeval villages, abbaeys,
manosteries, cathedrals, castels (with or without gosths),
historical houses .Somewhere it's possible to have a journej
in them
Historical events running all over the year.country festival ,great
events like "the Giostra del Saracino" in Arezzo, the "calcio
fiorentino"(football match ) ,the "festa del tordo" (in
Montalcino)
You could ever find something for you preference ,
But Toscany is not only history ...it's even fashion (Pitti in
Firenze), music(lirical in Torre del Lago ;,jazz/blues/rock at
the Pistoia Blues ,and Arezzo Wave ;the famous "Maggio
fiorentino")
Technology and craftsworks (the EXPO of Marmo macchine in
Carrara)The variety of country allows every kinds of sports :from
the swimming to ski,from horsing to freeklimbing ,and than
parachadutism,sailing,trecking,golf,speleology,rafting...and
for the more lazy ...fishing
You'll find an organized area for every sport
Nature has painted Tuscany with the blu of the sea, the white
of the marbles ,the green of it's olive' s trees ,the red and
ochre of Siena hills ,and the jellow of sunflowers fields
In tuscany there are a lot of areas protected and natural
parcks,for exemple the Alpi Apuane themselves.The Orecchiella
park,Migliarino Pisano,and San Rossore (that is one of the
reproduction area of the tartle Caretta caretta).The LIPU oasi
on the Massaciuccoli Lake ,and many WWF areas.
In matter of gastronomy.we can't heol you .cause you have to
taste by yourself ...however we thinkthat the names of toscany
wines and olive oil are known all over the word ...Besides the
wine and oil ,we have tipical cakes ,specialities from
delicatessen, cheeses, farro soup, pulses soup,tipical
products from chestnuts flour (cakes and soup) mushrooms, and
so on....every place has its speciallity.
Thank its temperate climate and its natural and artistic
beautyes Tuscany has been even a n important destination for
ravellers.
To satisfie all kind of demands , a great turistic welcome
organization has grown up :here you can find luxuoses hotels,or
chip Pensions,campings, houses to rend, mountaign refuges (
monastery too have room to rend !)
In tuscany there i a place that keep its name from the river
tht flow through ...the VERSILIA
This country, between the sea nad the Alpi Apuane has
something expecial:is a concentrate(?) of beauties
In 10 minute ,driving, you can reach ,from the seaside,
the1600 mt of altitude of the mountains; from where the
panorama is really suggestive
Seravezza-Stazzema (mountain zone )where you'll find alpine
refuges , paths good for freeckimbing or easy just for enjon a
walking .Little towns with romanic churches where schools of
schools of picture and sculpture are organized.The Antro
delCorchia :where go up and down for for 2 kilometers in the
heart of the mountain Corchia ,between stalactites and
stalagmites
Down the mountain you have the green hills where is possible
to rend little rustic houses ,surrounded by olive trees. There
are a lot of sporting clubs (even a national atlethic field)
Pietrasanta ( from 1300)really famous for its bronze-foundryes
and marble laboratory .The city is enriched by many works
donated by famous artists ,after a period of permanence (as
Botero ,Pomodoro, Mitoray, Theimer, Folon and so on)
Forte dei Marmi the eliterest ,destination of jetset national
and foreigner. Where you'll can find all the most famous
Griffes (Armani ,Gucci, Fendi, Timberland,Versace)
Camaiore , with its museum archeologocal ,its Badia ,and Pieve
Lido di Camaiore ,characterized by a many eclectichal/stile
houses
The seaside is .all over ,organized with ,swimming pools,
restaurantes.This seaside is very good for chidren,cause the
sand go down slowly in the sea.
Our sea is very good also for sports like the sailing (
remember the famous regatta"Viareggio Bastia"),or for surfers
(in winter too ,we can see boys in the sea to run the waves),and
some important competition are here in the summer (as the O'Neil
cup)
In Viareggio you can walk along the Liberty/stile Passeggiata,looking
for shopping.Viareggio is known for its turistic harbour ,where
yacth of VIP are (ormeggiati?) ,and where there are the most
of the important (cantieri) of Italy
Viareggio is known ,for its Carnival too...one of the more
important in Europe
Whe have to remember Torre del Lago puccini ,with the lirical
theatre and the beautiful lake.
You can visit the lake on little boats through the silencious
(canneti)
Events and Shows for every taste .from the ballet to the
concert .
In Versilia there are a lot of porpouse to enjoi the nigth ,theatre
:Teatro Puccini ,La Versilia,La Cittadella del Carnevale .Pubs
,discothesques,restaurantes ,tipichol kiosks of watermelon (very
usefull in the hot of summer )
To reach the disco and restaurantes from the hotels, there is
a nigth bus service for the whole summer period .
An advantage to be in Versilia is that you can reach in a few
time a lot of famous cities of art:
it's 20 km to Lucca and Pisa, Carrara ; 80 to Firenze , and
just a little less than 100 to Siena
It's possible to go by train ,or to drive by motorway ,or
panoramic streets
Versilia has something of expecial ...something that remain in
your heart...making came back our guest year by year
